Wildflower meadows

Wildflower meadows offer a diverse and beautiful habitat for the pleasure of all. Planting wildflower meadows in urban settings attracts pollinating insects including many different species of bees, hoverflies, butterflies and moths and helps to increase the amount of wildlife and biodiversity into an area.

To bring a little piece of the countryside into St Thomas, we have been working with the Devon Wildlife Trust and the fantastic team at the church, to create a new wildflower meadow in the St Thomas the Apostle Churchyard. It is also planned to extend the existing wildflower meadows in Cowick Barton Playing Fields, St Thomas Pleasure Grounds and Pinces Gardens.
